Add typeface descriptions.
It's nice to know who designed each font and when, but I'd like to know a bit more background, such as what it was designed for, what makes it unique, and what special features are included.
104 votesIt’s one of our top priorities as well and we’re getting the under-the-hood stuff done to make this happen.

Amen to that! We’re very interested in adding FontBook cross-references to FontShop.com and we’ve already begun work on it. Still, vote on this if it’s important to you.

Start selling t-shirts and other type-related paraphernalia.
Like couch pillows, or calendars. Cool Stuff.

Allow me to share my favorites, and tag them.
I want to share my favorites with my friends. It would be great to tag fonts with specific terms and send a friend a url based around those tags.

Add larger, more contextual font sample images.
Typeface pages should have PDF specimens and visual examples of the fonts in use. Fill those "Gallery" tabs!

This is a great idea. We’re working on ways to display end-user license information so it’s much easier to digest.

Order History Overview
I would like to see which fonts I'd purchased without having to go through all the past invoices.
Also, at the same time on the same page, I want to be able upgrade my licence if I need to21 votesYour Account page is now more organized and it’s easier to get to past purchases. We’ll look into displaying font names at the top level of the account page.
Online license upgrades would be great, and is already on our list of possible future enhancements.

Create a tiered annual membership where you can access full catelogues, foundaries, styles, etc.
You can sign up for a yearly membership and the greater access you (or your studio) requires the more you pay. Categories such as individual foundries, styles (screen, print, grunge, sans...), etc; and each additional category is an additional cost.
While I think this might not sound economically viable, much like how mp3 file sharing has increased the individuals access to a wider range of fonts and increased the overall sales of digital music. If the creative's of the world have access to more fonts then more fonts will be used, small foundries and individual type designers will be able…15 votes -
Create an account section with content customized to my preferences.
Show recommended products, FontLists, and editorial content (newsletters and blog entries) that might be interesting to me. Either as an alternate view of the homepage, or on my account page.
Also clean that account page up - it looks whacky!

add a pervasive bar along the top where i can get to key sections from or customise how i want.
It would be cool to have a bar that follows me along the site where i can quickly keep track of things, like favoutires etc.

Create any easier way to browse families.
Instead of scrolling through each individual family have the a sample of the family listed and a way to "see more." Such as a collapsible arrow or even a link. That way when browsing through a collection of families there aren't so many pages to scroll through. Also if you display a thumbnail of a font flag it can represent all of the fonts together.

price
Fonts are expensive. If they were cheaper, maybe the difference in profit would be made up by volume.

Develop FontCase for Windows.
A Windows XP/Vista edition of FontCase would be wonderful.

Add an OpenType filter to search page
And why not a complex search page with lot of more options

see user favorites. this would help in choosing typefaces, esp since the family search is rough.
your site is pretty great as it stands, and i am aware this feature may change the site drastically, but if i could see other typographers and designers and what font's they are choosing, esp if you can see what branch of the industry they are in (book design, interactive design, broadcast design, etc) i think that would be pretty radical.

Create more robust help section
The Help section could be more of a useful resource for customers and perusers. Add new/updated entries in FAQ, helpful tutorials, further explanation about licensing and embedding, etc.

Sorting favourites.
Hi, not a big deal... maybe there's a place to make simple sorting for favourite typefaces.
